How to be Taken Seriously When You Look Young
Youth and beauty have always been highly valued in our society. As women age, there is a lot of pressure to stay looking as young as possible for as long as possible and to avoid becoming “an old hag”. While you can’t stop the aging process (though we all wish we could!), there are lots of cosmetic products on the market that can slow some of the symptoms of aging such as fine lines and wrinkles. On top of these dermal products, there are some additional tricks that you can implement which will help to keep your skin looking beautiful and maintain that health youthful glow.
Wear Sunscreen
It doesn’t matter where you live or how much time you think you’ll be spending outside, the sun is the enemy of your skin. Put on sunscreen everyday before you leave the house, especially if you live in more tropical or southern areas such as California, Texas, or Florida. In harsher climates such as this, even just a limited amount of exposure to the sun can be damaging for your skin. While you might not see that damage now, the older you get, the more you’ll see it. The sun will dry out your skin and can cause wrinkles, sun spots, and discoloration. Do older you a favor while you’re young and wear sunscreen as much as possible.
Stay Hydrated
Water is a necessity for our bodies. Ever notice how your skin looks dull and flat when you’re hungover? Well, there’s a reason for that. Having youthful skin is just one of the many benefits of drinking water. Dehydration take a big toll on your body and water is the only thing that can reverse it. Water keeps your skin youthful and plump as well as making your hair, nails, eyes, lips, and just amount everything else looking better as well.
Fake an Eyelift
The eyes are the windows to the soul and also the windows to your true age. Nothing gives away age more so than the eyes. Dropping lids are a sure sign of a more mature woman, and while maturity is something to be desired, the drooping lids sometimes are not. You don’t have to get a surgical eyelift to make yourself look younger. The same illusion can for the most part be achieved with some makeup skills. By artfully contouring the area around the eyes with a light colored shadow, you can take years off of your appearance.
Blush up Those Cheeks
As women age, they tend to lose color in their face. This is just a natural part of aging and one that can be easily and quickly remedied with some blush! Even if you don’t have blush on you, just pinch your cheeks a bit to create a bit of warmth and redness which can take years off of your appearance.… Read the rest
