Series Description: PYPMers will create modern literature through classic and abstract exploration of hashtags and current events on both a micro and macro level.

Nina Ball aka Lyrispect is an award-winning poet/emcee, activist,actress & executive-producer whose work has been recognized by Temple University,the NAACP , U.S. Coast Guard and other notable organizations. She was an invited guest of The White House, recipient of the Sonia Sanchez Women’s Studies Award, and in 2013 she received the Asia Adams Save OUR Children Foundation Positive Image Award. Her social-change work is featured on two murals in Philadelphia. Nina has been a director and teaching artist for BLACK GIRLS ROCK! INC. since 2010.She has been a featured speaker &panelist for social justice, HIV/AIDS awareness, and poverty, race and gender studies at conferences, summits and universities. She is a national leader with the African American Film Festival releasing Movement (AFFRM) and an advocate for the empowerment of all women, girls and underserved populations.
